Maria Tamaoka started her quilt shop, Pinwheels in 1991. Since then, she has been recognized as the “Taupe Lady” specializing in Daiwebo Taube fabric. Her kits, patterns and projects incorporate many unique materials and techniques, which Maria finds throughout her travels in Japan and Europe.
Kurumi Button Coin Purse, Half Day

The Kurumi buttons and the ball & chain zipper add character to this coin purse made from Daiwabo fabrics. We will try to complete the coin purse in class including sewing on the zipper by hand! Experienced beginners.
Materials List: Sewing machine, neutral thread. Fabric scissors, thimble, needle, pins. Quilting thread - ecru or natural (if quilting purse by hand). Small rotary cutter and mat. Kit, $15 payable to instructor, includes all materials to make the coin purse. Sewing machine required.
