Frieda Anderson
Elgin, Illinois

Frieda’s original quilts are inspired by the colors from nature and the everyday scenery that surrounds her. Working with her own hand dyed cotton and silk fabrics is fun and challenging, the dyeing process is always a surprise. Frieda has been making quilts for over 40 years. She discovered hand dyeing fabric 20 years ago, and now works almost exclusively with her own hand dyed cotton and silks that are used in her fused and pieced quilt creations. Frieda loves the dye process, and particularly enjoys seeing the colors emerge from the wet fabric. Visit www.friestyle.com or Frieda’s blog at www.friestyle.blogspot.com.
