at the 2018 Quilt & Sewing Fest of New Jersey
New Jersey Convention & Expo Center
Edison, NJ
April 26-29, 2018
The Quilt & Sewing Fest of New Jersey is excited to announce that well-known instructors/quilt artists Judy Engime and Lisa Calle will teach longarm workshops during the festival. Olde City Quilts and Innova Longarm Systems will provide the longarm machines!
Judy Engime, who opened Burlington, NJ’s Olde City Quilts in 2006, is dedicated to growing interest in longarm quilting by providing machine rental and instruction for all skill levels. Judy’s goal is to inspire beginners and she especially strives to replace fear of failure with fun! Judy will teach a beginner longarm workshop at QFNJ, Let’s Get Started – Free Motion Focus on Thursday, April 26, in the afternoon. If you are a beginner longarm quilter or one who feels intimidated, this class is for you! Judy provides basic techniques to eliminate fears and fuel your creativity. On Friday morning, April 27, Judy will present Let’s Try Something Different; this class is for everyone who wants to experiment with alternative textiles on the longarm. Longarm quilter and instructor Lisa Calle discovered her love for the artistic side of textiles after earning a degree in Textile Management. Never thinking of herself as a creative person, everything changed once she drove her first longarm. Along her journey she has produced award winning quilts and found she loves to inspire others. She is teaching three, half-day workshops at the NJ Quilt Fest: Flower Power, Rulers for Rookies and Feathers for the Timid. Click here for workshop details.
The Quilt & Sewing Fest of New Jersey is excited to provide these outstanding longarm workshops for its registrants. Be sure to sign up early as these workshops are going to fill quickly!
