World Quilt New England Returns to Manchester with Spectacular Global Event:
Mancuso Show Management Presents the World Quilt Competition XXII
Mancuso Show Management is proud to announce World Quilt New England (WQNE) will be returning for its 16th year in Manchester, NH. Held at the Center of New Hampshire, this show continues to be at the center of it all for quilt, wearable and textile arts. The three-day quilt festival, taking place on Thursday, August 16 through Saturday, August 18 opens its doors each day at 10 am and closes at 5 pm. This unique festival allows quilt and sewing enthusiasts to appreciate the amazing artistry of textile artists from around the globe, providing a source of inspiration and a means to express new ideas.
Come behold beautifully crafted quilts, with the main attraction being entries to the 22nd World Quilt Competition. Making its debut at the Manchester venue, the entries will be judged and the highly sought after “Best of World” title will be awarded. Attendees will have the opportunity to be the first in the U.S. to view the new display of 2018 World Quilts.
The World Quilt Competition, which includes select U.S. winners and all international entries, will then travel across the United States to Mancuso Show Management’s shows in Pennsylvania, California, and Florida. At World Quilt New England, there will be over 400 quilts from 10 countries, making this show one of the most exciting on the east coast.
Discover the fun and enlightening activities, lectures, and workshops offered, including a special luncheon presentation hosted by Laura Wasilowski. Titled “Where did I go wrong? Confessions of a serial quilter”, hear her interpretation of quilt making in a series while enjoying a delicious meal. Back for another year is the World Quilt Panel & Forum Ice Cream Social. Dive into the quilt conversation with fellow quilters, after a moderated led discussion by World Quilt instructors. While at the festival you are sure to find activities, you’ll want to take part in!
